香港大学(港大)的法律专业研究生开设情况以及申请要求：
港大的法律分为三种学位：LLM, JD, SJD.
首先先说说说SJD：the Doctor of Legal Science (SJD), which follows an American model of postgraduate research and places greater emphasis on course work requirements. 也就是说主要是以研究为导向性博士学位。
JD，Juris Doctor的缩写。主要以职业为导向性的“博士”。说是博士，更加准确的可以理解为为将来职业想成为律师所强化训练的学位。港大的JD是两年的项目。
LLM，源自于拉丁文，法律硕士的意思。
港大的LLM下属方向较多，有：
1、 comprising Chinese law
2、 human rights law
3、 corporate and financial law
4、 information technology and intellectual property law
5、 arbitration and dispute resolution
同时，港大这边为中国大陆的学生，专门开设了一个Master of Common Law degree。大陆申请者可以着重关注一下。

Entrance Requirements:
(1) A degree of Bachelor of Laws with good honours or an equivalent qualification; or
(2) Having been admitted to the professional practice of law in Hong Kong or in a territory or country other than Hong Kong; or
(3) Having obtained either the Common Professional Examination of England and Wales or the Common Professional Examination Certificate of this University with good results, provided that in either case the candidate has also obtained at least a second class honours degree of this University or from another university or comparable institution accepted for this purpose.
(4) Applicants may be required to pass a qualifying examination or submit satisfactory evidence of English proficiency if English is not their first language.
2. Master of Common Law [MCL] 为大陆学生设置

This programme is specifically designed for graduates in law from non-Common law jurisdictions (notably Mainland China) who wish to acquire an expertise in Common Law as it is practised in Hong Kong and in other common law jurisdictions.
Entrance Requirements:
(1) A good degree in Law from a university (or comparable institution accepted for this purpose) in a non-common law jurisdiction; or
(2)Having been admitted to the professional practice of law in a non-common law jurisdiction.
(3)A candidate for admission shall, if required, produce evidence of sufficient academic attainment, and shall satisfy the examiners in a qualifying examination if such an examination is required.
(4)A candidate who fails to meet the requirements above may, in exceptional circumstances, be admitted provided that the Faculty Higher Degrees Committee is satisfied that by reason of his or her background, experience and professional qualifications, if any, the candidate is fit to follow the course.
(5)Applicants may be required to pass a qualifying examination or submit satisfactory evidence of English proficiency if English is not their first language

(TOEFL): A score of 97 or above (internet-based test)
(IELTS): Band 7 with no subtest lower than 6.5

Admissions Criteria:
Basic Selection Criteria
The JD programme looks for a record of demonstrated academic excellence. We expect to admit applicants with degree qualifications with at least a 2:1 or the equivalent (cum laude from North American universities) from a reputable university in Hong Kong or overseas.
We seek to admit students with diverse backgrounds and relevant professional and other experiences.
The application entails a personal statement, a writing sample, an English language requirement, and letters of reference.
To help us make better decisions, some applicants may be asked to attend in-person or phone/video interviews.
IELTS: a minimum overall band score of 7.5, with no individual score below 6.5, and a minimum band score of 7.0 in the academic writing module
TOEFL: a minimum score of 100 on the internet-based test)
